Tonight (27/10) is the opening party of Corpocidade – debates em estética urbana # 1, a meeting that proposes a debate about urban aesthetics, between the fields of art and urbanism, articulating cultural policies and urban territories. The meeting will happen in Salvador until next Friday (31/10).
The discussions will be divided in thematic sessions and each one of them will take a day of the meeting. They are: Imaterial Cities (28/10), The City as an Extended Field of Art (29/10), Urban Corpographies (30/10) and Modes of subjectivization in the City (31/10).
Besides the debates, the Corpocidade program includes a series of urban interventions through the city of Salvador and book releases. One of the selected interventions is Varal (picture), by Lourival Cuquinha, which will be set up in Elevador Lacerda, one of the most famous tourist spots of the capital of Bahia.
Over the year, Corpocidade maintains the digital publication Dobra, one of the forum’s action platforms, launched last April (read more here). The magazine comes to its fifth edition bringing articles, essays and reports about the Modes of subjectivization in the City theme.
