Relações humanas e com o meio permeiam as estreias da semana | Relationships among humans and with the environment in the week´s premieres

A relação entre os corpos e o meio em que vivem vista sob olhares distintos. A relação entre o coreógrafo e o processo de criação colaborativo, que surge a partir de contribuições dos intérpretes. Esses dois pontos aproximam os novos trabalhos de Dani Lima e Esther Weitzman, que estreiam nesta quinta-feira (10/09), no Rio de Janeiro.

Em Pequeno inventário de lugares-comuns (foto 1), Dani Lima dá mais um passo em sua pesquisa sobre a poética do cotidiano iniciada com Estratégia nº 1: entre (2005), Manual de instruções (2006), e Eu é um outro (2007). “Agora, o mote inicial da pesquisa são gestos e ações cotidianas que passam despercebidas como pentear o cabelo ou abrir uma lata”, explica Dani.

Para o novo trabalho, ela convidou parceiros antigos e experimentou um processo de criação colaborativo, onde cada um contribuiu do seu jeito, sem muitas regras a serem seguidas. “Eu proponho uma ideia e cada um contribui de uma forma. Isso se estende para a luz, a música, os vídeos etc”, conta Dani. Ela divide a cena com Felipe Rocha (responsável também pela trilha sonora), Laura Samy, Paulo Mantuano e Vivian Miller.

Esse processo colaborativo fica ainda mais claro no cenário – idealizado pelo artista plástico João Modé – repleto de objetos pessoais e básicos do cotidiano, grande parte emprestada pelos próprios bailarinos. Eles se movimentam entre cerca de 120 brinquedos, ferramentas, panelas, roupas… “Reunimos objetos pessoais e universais ao mesmo tempo. São coisas nossas, mas que todos têm parecido. Eu levei a boneca da minha filha, martelo do meu irmão, etc”, revela Dani.

Partindo também de uma ideia de trabalhar com contribuições de seus bailarinos, Esther Weitzman montou Presenças no tempo (foto 2), uma releitura do espetáculo de 2001. “Retomei questões como a fisicalidade e a interação de corpos com/no espaço. Como responder a impulsos de vários modos. A criação nasceu a partir da riqueza do material dos bailarinos, que estão trabalhando desde março nisso”, explica Esther.

No palco, Beatriz Peixoto, Carla Reichelt  e Tony Hewerton se alternam em solos e duos, experimentando formas de se relacionar entre eles e com o espaço. A ideia é pensar no valor do ‘estar’, ter uma percepção de si e do outro e da relação com tempo.

A estreia acontece num momento especial para a companhia, que completa 10 anos em 2009. E foi nesse balanço de uma década que a coreógrafa resolveu voltar ao antigo espetáculo, agora com um novo olhar, mas sempre valorizando a questão do tempo. “A ideia de retomá-lo surgiu do desejo de amadurecer o que fizemos há tantos anos. É um ciclo bonito que se fecha para começarmos outro ano que vem. Provamos a maturidade de linguagem da companhia”, comemora Esther. Esse ciclo comemorativo pelos 10 anos continuará no festival Panorama de Dança, em novembro, onde Esther remontará Terras, também de 2001, mesmo ano de Presenças no tempo.

The relationship between the choreographer and the collaborative creative process that emerges from the contributions of the performers. These are the points that bring together the new works of Dani Lima and Esther Weitzman, premiering this Thursday (10/09), in Rio de Janeiro.

With Pequeno inventário de lugares-comuns, Dani Lima takes a step forward in her research about the poetics of daily life that started with Estratégia nº 1: entre (2005), Manual de instruções (2006), and Eu é um outro (2007). “Now, the initial motto of the research are gestures and daily actions that go unnoticed, like combing the hair or opening a can”, explains Dani.

For the new work, she invited old partners and experimented with collaborative creative process, in which each one contributed in their own way, without many rules to be followed. “I propose an idea and each one contributes in some way. This also goes for the lighting, the music, the videos etc”, says Dani. She shares the stage with Filipe Rocha (also in charge of the soundtrack), Laura Samy, Paulo Matuano and Vivian Miller.

This collaborative process is even more evident in the stage settings – designed by plastic artist João Modé – filled with personal and basic daily objects, most of which were lent by the dancers themselves. They move among 120 toys, tools, pans, clothes… “We gathered objects that are personal and universal at the same time. They are our things, but everybody has similar ones. I brought one of my daugther’s dolls, my brother’s hammer, etc”, reveals Dani.

Also starting off from an idea of working with contributions from her dancers, Esther Weitzman staged Presenças no tempo, a reimagining of the 2001 show. “I got back to issues like physicality and the interaction of bodies with/in space. How to answer to impulses in different ways. The creation was born from the richness of the material of the dancers, who have been working in this since March”, explains Esther.

On stage, Beatriz Peixoto, Carla Reichelt and Tony Ewerton take turns in solos and duos, experimenting ways to relate among themselves and with space. The idea is to think about the value of ‘being’, having a perception of one’s self and of the other and the relationship with time.

The premiere takes place in a special moment for the company, which celebrates 10 years in 2009. And it was in this balance of a decade that the choreographer decided to go back to the old show, now with a new look, but always valuing the issue of time. “The idea to recapture it emerged from the desire to mature what we did so many years ago. It´s a beautiful cycle that closes so we can start another one next year. We proved the maturity of the language of the company”, celebrates Esther. This celebrating cycle for the 10 years of the company will continue in the Panorama de Dança festival, in November, where Esther will re-stage Terras, also from 2001, the same year of Presenças no tempo.
