Depois de perder sua sede em um incêndio no início de fevereiro, o Balé Popular do Recife retoma suas atividades (clique aqui para saber mais sobre o acidente). Esta sexta-feira (20/03), o grupo apresenta Nordeste: a dança do Brasil (foto do from Acervo Recordança) na Escola Internacional de Aldeia, em Pernambuco, às 19h30.
A apresentação faz parte do projeto Por dentro da cultura, criado pela escola, em que os alunos passam um mês estudando a vida de um artista pernambucano e, ao final, recebem a visita do objeto de estudo. Já passaram por lá a Spok Frevo Orquestra e o Maracatu Nação Pernambuco, entre outros.
A renda arrecadada com ingressos e a venda de material da companhia (cds, livros etc) será revertida para a reconstrução da sede e da grande quantidade de figurino perdido. Enquanto a sede permanece interditada, as aulas de danças populares ministradas pelo Balé estão sendo dadas na Casa de Cultura, no bairro de Santo Antônio, no Recife. After losing its headquartes to a fire in the beginning of February, Balé Popular do Recife gets back to its activities (click here to read about the accident). This Friday (20/03) the group presents Nordeste: a dança do Brasil (picture from Recordança collection) at Escola Internacional de Aldeia, in Pernambuco, at19h30.
The presentation is part of Por dentro da cultura project, created by the school, in which students spend a month learning about the life and work of an artist from Pernambuco and at the end they get a visit from the object of their study. Spok Frevo Orquestra and Maracatu Nação Pernambuco are some of the names that were part of the project.
The income from sale of tickets and campaign material (cds, book etc) will go to the reconstruction of the center and of the great amount of lost costumes. While the center is interdicted the folk dance classes provided by the Balé are being held at Casa de Cultura, in the Santo Antônio neighbourhood, in Recife. For more information call: (81) 3224-0557.
