Secretaria de Cultura de SP lança Prêmio Teatro de Dança|Secretary of Culture of São Paulo launches Teatro de Dança Award

A dança terá mais um prêmio a partir desta terça-feira (14/10). A secretaria de Estado da Cultura, por meio do Teatro de Dança (TD), lança o Prêmio Teatro de Dança.

O prêmio, anual, será no valor de R$ 30 mil e o vencedor fará uma temporada no TD. Seu formato será diferente dos outros prêmios distribuídos no estado: o melhor espetáculo do ano será escolhido por voto popular. Qualquer companhia brasileira de dança poderá participar, desde que tenha se apresentado em algum teatro no estado de São Paulo no ano vigente e que a coreografia (ou uma delas) tenha no mínimo 20 minutos – será levada em consideração a proporcionalidade das salas de espetáculos existentes no estado.

Uma comissão técnica irá normatizar as diretrizes da premiação, planejar as ações e acompanhar o processo de votação. A primeira edição do Prêmio Teatro de Dança será entregue em outubro de 2009.

There will be a new award for dance after next Tuesday (14/10). The Secretary of Culture of the State of São Paulo, through Teatro de Dança (TD), is launching the Teatro de Dança Award.

The yearly award will be worth R$ 30.000 and the winner will perform for a season in TD. The format will be different from other awards distributed in the State: the best show of the year will be chosen by popular vote. Any brazilian dance company will be eligible to participate, as long as they have performed in any theater in the state of São Paulo and the choreography must have a duration of at least 20 minutes – the proportion of the theaters in São Paulo will be taken into account.

A technical comission will normalize the guidelines of the award, plan actions and oversee the voting process. The first edition of the Teatro de Dança Award will be hand out in October 2009.
