Como o idan\u00e7a<\/strong> j\u00e1 havia adiantado (leia aqui<\/a>), o dan\u00e7a em foco – Festival Internacional de V\u00eddeo & Dan\u00e7a<\/a> est\u00e1 lan\u00e7ando dois editais<\/strong> de cria\u00e7\u00e3o\/produ\u00e7\u00e3o de videodan\u00e7a em sua edi\u00e7\u00e3o 2010. A iniciativa foi poss\u00edvel gra\u00e7as \u00e0 conquista de patroc\u00ednio da Petrobras, uma das novidades deste ano do festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHistoricamente, o dan\u00e7a em foco sempre apoiou a difus\u00e3o e a forma\u00e7\u00e3o. Mesmo em nossas parcerias, sempre nos preocupamos em exibir videodan\u00e7a e contextualiz\u00e1-la atrav\u00e9s de oficinas, conversas com artistas locais etc. Desde 2002 t\u00ednhamos a ideia de um edital, mas ainda n\u00e3o hav\u00edamos conseguido realizar. Em 2007 lan\u00e7amos uma edi\u00e7\u00e3o do edital que premiou v\u00eddeos para celulares. Este ano conseguimos realizar os dois!\u201d, comemora Paulo Caldas, um dos curadores.<\/span><\/p>\n

Em V\u00eddeo1′<\/em>, o festival premiar\u00e1 obras de videodan\u00e7a gravadas com c\u00e2meras de telefone celular. Os filmes devem ser enviados at\u00e9 23 de abril e eles t\u00eam que ter dura\u00e7\u00e3o de at\u00e9 um minuto. Cada criador poder\u00e1 inscrever apenas um projeto e ele dever datar de janeiro de 2009 em diante. Os selecionados receber\u00e3o pr\u00eamio de R$ 1 mil e ser\u00e3o exibidos no dan\u00e7a em foco 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

J\u00e1 atrav\u00e9s de V\u00eddeo5′<\/em> ser\u00e3o selecionados roteiros para produ\u00e7\u00e3o de uma videodan\u00e7a de at\u00e9 cinco minutos. Os projetos devem ser enviados at\u00e9 30 de abril. Os selecionados receber\u00e3o valores que variam de R$ 3 mil a R$ 6 mil, de acordo com o or\u00e7amento previsto no projeto.<\/span><\/p>\n

Em comum, os dois editais buscam contemplar projetos que integrem dan\u00e7a e v\u00eddeo como uma composi\u00e7\u00e3o aut\u00f4noma. Al\u00e9m deles, outro or\u00e7amento destinado exclusivamente \u00e0 pesquisa e produ\u00e7\u00e3o de videodan\u00e7a atualmente no Brasil \u00e9 o do Programa Rumos Ita\u00fa, que acaba de exibir os resultados do \u00faltimo edital de Apoio \u00e0 Pesquisa e Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de Videodan\u00e7a<\/em>. Diante da valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o crescente da linguagem da videodan\u00e7a, muitas quest\u00f5es surgem sobre o que se encaixa nessa forma de express\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n

Para Caldas, essa \u00e9 uma discuss\u00e3o que ainda vai longe. \u201cQualquer dificuldade de se pensar a videodan\u00e7a \u00e9 um desdobramento das quest\u00f5es que surgem com a dan\u00e7a contempor\u00e2nea. Elas s\u00e3o potencializadas no contexto da videodan\u00e7a. Toda a tens\u00e3o da experimenta\u00e7\u00e3o da dan\u00e7a tamb\u00e9m aparece na videodan\u00e7a\u201d, acredita ele. \u201cNo processo de curadoria, tento reconhecer os princ\u00edpios do movimento que aquela obra tem. Podendo ser de corpo, edi\u00e7\u00e3o ou c\u00e2mera. Isso faz uma liga\u00e7\u00e3o entre cinema e dan\u00e7a.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

For this year\u2019s edition, dan\u00e7a em foco – Festival Internacional de V\u00eddeo Dan\u00e7a<\/a> is launching two grant programs for videodance creation\/production. The initiative was made possible because of the new sponsorship of Petrobras, the Brazilian oil company. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHistorically, dan\u00e7a em foco always supported diffusion and training. Even in our partnerships, we were always concerned with screening videodance and contextualize it through workshops, debates with local artists etc. Since 2002 we had the idea of a grant program, but we still couldn\u2019t make it happen. In 2007 we had a program that awarded videos created for cell phones. This year we managed to make both happen!\u201d, Paulo Caldas, one of the curators, celebrates. <\/span><\/p>\n

The festival will award in the V\u00eddeo1′<\/em> program videodances recorder with cell-phone cameras. The videos must be sent until April 23 and they must last up to one minute. Each creator will be allowed to submit one project and it must have been made from January 2009 on. Those selected will receive an award of R$ 1.000 and will be screened at dan\u00e7a em foco 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the V\u00eddeo5′<\/em> program, screenplays for a videodance production of up to 5 minutes will be selected. The projects must be sent until April 30. Those selected will receive from R$ 3.000 to R$ 6.000, according to the project\u2019s budgets. <\/span><\/p>\n

Both programs seek to award projects that integrate dance and video as an autonomous composition. Besides the two, Rumos Ita\u00fa is another program aimed exclusively at the research and production of videodance. It recently screened the result of its last edition. Given the growing interest in the videodance language, many questions arise about what fits into this form of expression. <\/span><\/p>\n

For Caldas, this debate will go on for a while. \u201cAny difficulty in thinking about videodance is an unfoldment of the issues that emerge with contemporary dance. They are potentiated in the videodance context. All the tension of experimentation in dance also appears in videodance. In the curatorship process, I try to look for movement principles in that piece. It could be the body, editing or camera. This makes a connection between cinema and dance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
